Is Flo Money free in the UAE?
Yes. Flo is free, with no trial and no card, and it’s set up for the UAE from the first screen: dirhams, local shops and the bills people here pay.
Does Flo work with UAE bank SMS?
Yes. Paste the SMS your bank sends, like “AED 45.00 debited from a/c ending 1234 at CARREFOUR DUBAI…”, and Flo reads the amount, the place and the date. In the Android app it can also catch those alerts as they arrive, and asks before adding each one.
Does Flo show the new dirham symbol?
Yes. Amounts in dirhams show the new dirham symbol on screen, and “AED” in plain text.
Can I track money I send home?
Yes. Log transfers under Sent home and tell Flo the currency your family uses. Home then shows what went home this month and roughly what it came to there, at today’s mid-market rate.
Do I need to connect my UAE bank account?
No. You log spending yourself, by voice, a bank SMS or a receipt, so Flo never needs your bank login.
